Ermine got granny glasses from Seers (a play on Sears and seers as in diviners). They allow her to see across long distances (as demonstrated when she used them to spot J.G.Rowlings mansion from hundreds of feet in the air) and can also be used as X-Ray glasses (Ermine won $500 from a guy gussing which cup a ball was in).
